I've chosen a very special venue for us to meet! It's not a humongous hotel with tons of hustle and bustle; nor is it too off the beaten path. The Social Media Intensive is hosted at the Kona Kai Resort, an attractive tropical beach style venue in the San Diego area. I've hosted events at this venue in the past and it's been a big hit!
The Kona Kai Resort and Spa is a year round waterfront resort designed with a tropical island ambiance, located at the very tip of Shelter Island, CA and offering magnificent garden, marina and bay views. You can see the entire San Diego skyline across the water. It's a gorgeous place to soak up the Social Media Intensive teachings and to soak up the splendor of San Diego.
We're conveniently located close to the airport, but not so close you hear airplanes all day and night! You can take advantage of Kona Kai's complimentary shuttle service from the San Diego airport for easy no-cost travel to and from the event.
Complementing the Hawaiian-island setting of this waterfront hotel, you can enjoy California fresh cuisine with breakfast, lunch and dinner at the marina-view Kona Kai Restaurant with adjacent Kona Kai Lounge.

Spa information
The full-service, ocean view Kona Kai Spa provides body scrubs and wraps, facial and body treatments, and massages. Advanced reservation required for spa treatments. (I'm a huge fan of spa treats!!)
Recreation
There's a lovely big outdoor swimming pool with room to swim laps if you're so inclined. The surrounding sundeck includes a spa tub. The Kona Kai Resort offers a private beach with volleyball and children's play area. The health club offers aerobics, yoga, and other classes. Guests may rent bicycles. Two massage rooms are also on site.
During your stay, you can choose to indulge yourself with bicycle rentals, boating, personal motorized watercraft, Pilates classes, swimming, and yoga classes onsite. In addition, you'll find plenty of special attractions within easy reach of the hotel, including fishing, golfing and a driving range, hiking/biking trails, kayaking, motor boating, playground, running path, sailing, surfing/boogie boarding, tennis, volleyball, water skiing, and whale-watching!
