Facebook for Business: The Blog Squad Interviews Mari Smith

With sixty-seven million active users, Facebook has significant implications for business owners, marketers, and entrepreneurs. This highly successful online social networking platform continues to grow at a rate of 250,000 per day. That is serious growth!

Not only that, more than HALF the active users come back DAILY. And, people spend an average of 20 minutes on Facebook per DAY.

If you’re in business for yourself, whether as a solo professional or small business owner, you must familiarize yourself what Facebook can do for your business.

But, there’s a right and wrong way to use Facebook to strategically grow your business. You cannot effectively use “old school” marketing techniques on social networking Websites. It’s people first, business second.

Nor can you afford to dismiss Facebook as frivolous or “just for kids.”

So, how do you get around the inordinate amount of time it can take to (a) learn the platform’s most useful features, (b) field incoming friend requests from people you don’t know (and maybe you don’t want to know!), and (c) manage all the other extraneous activity flying at you at warp speed?

I’m going to share the answers to these questions and more on a live interview with The Blog Squad? – Denise Wakeman and Patsi Krakoff.

Save the date: Monday, March 10, 2008 at 2:00pm PT / 5:00pm ET.

You’ll need to register right away to get the dial-in details. There’s a small fee of just $20, which includes the MP3 file and you can upgrade to get the transcript too.

Plus, The Blog Squad? is offering a generous affiliate commission with a contest to win a $100 gift certificate to Amazon.com or iTunes for referring the most people.

Earn $10 for every person you refer that registers for the call. (Minimum payout is $10, so just one referral and you get paid next month!)

Also, if you put 10+ people in the class, you’ll get one year’s membership in the Blogging & Beyond Mentor program worth $97. This is a terrific program – I’ve been through it myself and learned loads about internet marketing.

Here’s what to do:

  1. Register for your place on the call .
  2. Then, sign up for your affiliate link .
  3. Once you’re registered as an affiliate, log in, (1) click on Links & Tools at the top, (2) under “Choose a Program” select “Facebook TeleSeminar with Mari Smith” and (3) click on “Display Links.”*
  4. Copy and paste your affiliate link [looks like this: http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?Clk=xxxxxxx] to your blog, website, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, ezine – wherever you wish. And/or use the pre-written email.

*Here’s a screen shot of the affiliate center once you’re logged in:

If you’re finding Facebook to be time-consuming and you’re uncertain about the strategic ways to use this social networking platform, join me on Monday. Even if you’re already a raving fan of Facebook and starting to see some positive results, come on the call and you’re sure to learn valuable tips. It’ll be a jam-packed call: I’ve told Denise and Patsi to absolutely grill me – it’s no holds barred!!
