Facebook Live Video That Converts – Social Video Summit 2021 #SVS21 Attendee Resources

Mari Smith Facebook Live SVS21

Welcome, #SVS21 Superstars! I’m so happy to connect with you virtually.

It was such a pleasure and an honor to share my Facebook Live marketing knowledge with you at Social Media Examiner’s SOCIAL VIDEO SUMMIT 2021 online event! I’m bummed we were not able to meet in person. However, streaming live online is the next best thing, right?!

As promised, here are some helpful resources for you:

Mari Smith’s VIDEO GEAR

The four questions I get asked all the time are: What camera are you using? What is your lighting set up? What microphone are you using? And, what software is this you’re using to stream? So, I’ve put everything together for you in a special resource you can access here: Mari Smith’s Facebook & Instagram Video Success Kit. Please also check out my various video gear kits and shopping list on my Amazon Store. Plus, you can review my set up in the video below:

Want to look like a TV star when you stream live on Facebook, YouTube, Zoom or any other livestreaming platform?

I constantly get asked how on earth I get that ‘blurred background’ (depth of field) and what lights I use, and how I manage to effortlessly look and sound so professional on my broadcasts! People have come on to my Facebook Lives over the years and said my video popped off their phone or computer screens so they just had to come tune in.

Investing a somewhat nominal amount in these three main items can make a MASSIVE difference to your business, how you’re perceived, and ultimately to your conversion rates and business success!

  1. DSLR CAMERA
  2. THREE-POINT LIGHTING
  3. A QUALITY MICROPHONE (+ the necessary cables and connectors as explained in my video and set out in the spreadsheet, linked below).

Check out my recommended Video Gear (camera, lights, microphone) for professional livestreaming on Zoom, Facebook, YouTube, etc. I have everything set out in spreadsheet format with different ‘kits’ and the YouTube video above helps explain the gear and your various options!

The ‘secret’ is using a DSLR camera with a 20mm or 50mm lens; that gives you the lovely crisp look with depth of field. Plus, good 3-point lighting. But, you need the right capture device, cables, and for sure a power adaptor. It’s all on the spreadsheet.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G7 is a great and affordable camera. I use a Sony a6000 with a 50mm lens; there are newer models available as well. Or, instead of a DSLR camera, the Logitech Brio is a great webcam. I’ve listed out various accessories, too.

Everything can also be found on my Amazon Shop for reference. There’s the Panasonic kit, Sony kit, and Logitech Brio kit. Use this as a guide then shop around as you wish!

PLUS, when it comes to live streaming SOFTWARE, there are SO many options and it can get overwhelming and confusing. To help simplify your choices and understand the differences, I’ve created this special chart I put together for participants of my GO LIVE with Mari Smith course!
