Create Relationships with Customers, High-Converting Facebook Ads & More: The Social Scoop 1/22/17
Well, not much major Facebook news to report from last week… for a change. Ha! Did you notice site was “broken” for a short period of time on Friday the 13th… and it seems this was due to the desktop Messenger switching over to the new design.
By the way, save the date: Wednesday, February 1st – Facebook will announce it’s fourth quarter and full year 2016 results. No doubt, there will be a ton of interesting stats to study! 🙂

This Week’s Top 3 Articles
And now, here are this week’s top three articles that my team and I selected for you!
1. Ways To Create Ongoing Relationships With Your Customers via Woocommerce.com
One of the primary reasons why it’s important to build relationships with people who buy your product or service is that returning customers are more likely to buy than new customers. How can your business maintain a connection after someone makes a purchase? Post-purchase emails, rewards and points, helpful resources, are just a few of the great suggestions in this post.
2. A Cheat Sheet to High-Converting Facebook Ad Creative via KISSmetrics.com
When it comes to creating successful Facebook ads, there’s a ton of details to consider. This in-depth article takes you step-by-step through the process and provides heaps of helpful information and examples. This cheat sheet will be a very useful resource when you’re creating your next ad.
3. Facebook Continues to Evolve Facebook Live, Announces New Tools via SocialMediaToday.com
They weren’t the first to bring us live streaming video, but Facebook has quickly become a leader in the field. The company keeps adding new features and making it better and–given the size of the platform–it’s one of the best options for broadcasting your message. Make sure you are in the know regarding the latest updates with the scoop in this post!
That’s a wrap for this week’s issue of The Social Scoop. I hope you have an amazing week ahead!
By the way, I’ve been intensely focused lately on preparing for a big trip this week with two back-to-back speaking events. I’m jetting across the country to the other coast: Charleston, South Carolina to keynote the annual Bowling Summit (did you know indoor bowling is America’s #1 recreational sport?!). And then I hop on another plane up to (chilly!) Sheboygan, Wisconsin to provide Facebook training to Acuity Insurance executive and management team. Super exciting!! Stay tuned for Facebook Live videos from the road!
Shen Yun – Spectacular!
On a personal note, my partner Christopher and I went to see the incredible Chinese dance performance, Shen Yun, on Friday. WOWEE – what a truly spectacular, rousing, moving, inspiring and brilliantly entertaining show that features 5,000 years of history. If you ever get the chance, for sure check it out! (Christopher and I also got interviewed after the performance for a Chinese newspaper and television show, hehee, love that!)
Cheers,
